The Exoweld© exothermic or alumina-thermic welding process, is a method of welding copper to copper, copper to steel and steel to steel in order to form a solid electrical connection. The method employs an exothermic reaction to generate heat, creating molten copper which in turn melts and fuses the metals to be connected. This method does not need an external source of power or heat to operate. The joints created in this process do not weaken or loosen over time, making the solution far superior in quality, to methods of mechanical bonding.
The exothermic welding process is carried out by using Exoweld© Graphite Moulds, Exoweld© Welding Powders, Exoweld© Handle Clamps and various safety and ignition tools. Exoweld© designs and machines moulds to suit all connections, some of which are displayed in this section of the website. For other specifications, please contact our sales team.
All materials needed to complete exothermic welding connections, can be packed and shipped or air freighted safely.
